Miami, or as some people call it, The Magic City, is home to some of the country’s most beautiful parks and open spaces. Many times Miami is mostly know for its hustle and bustle of it’s downtown area. To think of Miami as only a nightlife city takes away some of its most meaningful and impactful sights and attractions that it has to offer. Here we will talk about some of Miami’s best parks that should not go unnoticed.

Flamingo Park

Flamingo Park is located on 11 Street and Jefferson Avenue in Miami Beach. Although the park is in the middle of a tourist heavy area, the park is filled with things to do for anyone who visits. The park is free to residents but charges ten dollars for other visitors, but for a good reason. Flamingo park is home to several tennis courts, an entire eight lane track, artificial turf, among other things. Flamingo park is a great place to visit if you are looking to stay active and enjoy the incredible Miami weather.

Oleta River State Park

Nothing written about Maimi’s wonderful parks will never mention Oleta River State Park as one of the top parks in the city. Oleta River State Park spans over one thousand acres of land and is deemed the largest park in the state of Florida. Oleta River State Park advertises itself as a natural wonderland of activities and relaxation. Visitors can partake in activities like cycling on their fifteen mile bike trail, paddleboarding along the river, fishing, and swimming in certain areas. Similar to Flamingo Park, Oleta River State Park is not a place to go for a relaxing day on their beachfront. Instead, the park should be viewed as a very active day of participating in a variety of things to do. Entrance into the park is only six dollars!

Bayfront Park

One of the most well-known parks in the state of Florida is the Bayfront Park. Bayfront Park is located on Biscayne Boulevard and is used for a multitude of activities throughout the year. Every year the Bayfront Park hosts its annual Ultra Music Festival which brings in thousands of people from around the country to enjoy a variety of dance music. Other activities happening in the park include free yoga sessions and rollerblading.
